Professional Training at a European Level

Through Samaritan International, employees of Samaritanus Ambulance participate in professional training courses in Europe at prestigious training centers: EURAC – the European Academy of Emergency Medicine Research in Bolzano.

In 2015, we participated in USAR search and rescue training modules in Vienna, being certified as USAR – MEDIUM by the United Nations, as part of Austria’s International Disaster Response Rapid Intervention Team, SA-RRT.

2009 – 2010

In 2009, a contract was signed with the Mureş Insurance House to allow patients to benefit from free transportation covered by public insurance. Concurrently, contracts with private insurance companies were finalized, enabling us to generate a profit in the first year, which was donated for humanitarian purposes.

In 2010, we expanded the range of activities and elevated the level of authorization, specifically in the private emergency segment. This allowed us to allocate significant financial resources from profits for humanitarian purposes. Thus, we established the NGO “Association of Samaritans in Romania,” funded from the profits of the commercial company Samaritanus Ambulance. This association is fully affiliated with the European Organization Samaritan International, enabling us to help many people with special needs.

In 2008, we start in Romania

In 2008, Samaritanus Ambulance was established in Târgu Mureș as a commercial company, authorized by the Ministry of Health to operate as an ambulance service. At that time, it was a private alternative for immobilized patients who needed transportation from home to hospital or from hospital to home. It is the first private ambulance service in Mureș County.”
