Community education, including first aid training and accident prevention
Through the volunteers of the Romanian Samaritans Association, we carry out campaigns to educate young people in providing first aid and preventing accidents.
First aid is needed everywhere. Annually, around 8 million accident victims are registered. Most accidents happen at home and during leisure time, with only 5% being road accidents. The large number of victims registered annually highlights the need for first aid. Most minor injuries that occur in daily life are not registered. In contrast, nearly 20,000 deaths are registered each year, attributed to various areas of life. Additionally, every year at least 80,000 people are registered with sudden cardiac death, many of whom could be saved if they received prompt and correct help.
