Training and education of ambulance personnel

The training and preparation of our service’s personnel is done on two levels.
EMT PERSONNEL – EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

This category includes ambulance drivers and stretcher-bearers.
The courses that those in this category are required to attend are:
  • BLS – Basic Life Support – D
  • use of transport equipment in the ambulance
  • use of immobilization devices – cervical collar, splints, vacuum mattress, scoop stretcher.
  • use of ambulance equipment – suction aspirator, automated external defibrillator, Oxygen therapy.
  • monitoring of vital signs – BP, SPO2, HR.

Resuscitation maneuvers are learned efficiently thanks to the Brayden manikin; we are the first ambulance service in Romania to purchase this type of manikin from the British manufacturer.

This category includes specialist doctors in emergency medicine, with competencies in emergency medicine, and medical assistants.
Their professional training mandatorily includes specific procedures for each activity:
